Next steps - April 2014 update

The next step of the final access determination inquiry, following completion of the statutory process for issuing the disclosure notice, is for the ACCC to commence extensive consultations on the fixed line services final access determinations with the release of a discussion paper followed by a draft decision. To allow sufficient time for this consultation, it will also be necessary for the ACCC to extend the period for making the final access determinations beyond 11 July 2014.

The ACCC expects to release a discussion paper on the final access determination around mid-2014. If you would like to be informed as to when public consultation will commence contact fixedservices@accc.gov.au to be placed on our mailing list.
