The ACCC has granted interim authorisation to allow BP and participating BP branded fuel retailers to participate in the Velocity Frequent Flyer Program.
Under the interim authorisation customers will be able to earn points through purchases at participating BP outlets and BP will be able to commence discussions with Velocity about offering opportunities to redeem points through participating BP outlets. BP has also sought authorisation in relation to offering opportunities to redeem points. However, interim authorisation was not sought for this part of the proposed arrangements.
