Saturday 5 December is World Competition Day.

It’s an opportunity to reflect on the importance of strong cooperative relationships between competition agencies across the globe.

The ACCC works closely with competition agencies worldwide. In particular, a key strategic priority for the ACCC is developing stronger and closer relationships with our counterpart agencies in Asia. Through the Competition Law Implementation Program (CLIP), the ACCC is delivering assistance to ASEAN Member States to effectively introduce and implement national competition laws and policies.

As a part of CLIP, the ACCC is sharing experience and judgement developed from over 40 years of competition law enforcement in Australia with ASEAN Member States, aiming to assist ASEAN Member States build the foundations of effective competition law and regulation. Activities the ACCC has delivered under CLIP include capacity building workshops, expert placements and technical and mentoring assistance.
