The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued a draft determination proposing to re-authorise the suspension and termination provisions of the Australian Payments Clearing Association’s (APCA) Australian Paper Clearing System (APCS) regulations. The ACCC proposes to re-authorise the provisions for ten years.
The APCS ensures the implementation and operation of effective systems, policies and procedures for the processing of cheques and other paper based instruments between its members.
