Franchising model disclosure document

The franchising model disclosure document sets out the recommended format for a franchisor’s disclosure document and includes tips to assist franchisors in meeting their disclosure obligations.

Franchisors should also seek legal advice where relevant to ensure their disclosure documents comply with the Franchising Code of Conduct.

Note: the franchising model disclosure document does not contain information on amendments to the code for new vehicle dealership agreements. The amendments were introduced on 1 June 2020 and can be accessed at the Federal Register of Legislation.
