About the National Anti-Scam Centre

To counter the increase in sophistication and volume of scams, and the devastating consumer harm they cause, the Australian Government has invested $57 million over three years to establish the National Anti-Scam Centre.

Launched on 1 July 2023, we are leading a whole of ecosystem scam prevention and detection approach that will ramp up Australia’s capability to protect Australians from scams.

The National Anti-Scam Centre is leveraging collective expertise and intelligence across government, law enforcement, industry, and consumer groups to disrupt scams, empower consumers, and find real solutions to reduce losses to scams.
