The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission will not oppose the acquisition of certain TNT Australia Pty Ltd businesses by Australian transport company, Toll Holdings Limited, ACCC Chairman, Professor Allan Fels, said today.
The merger involves the acquisition by Toll of Carpentaria Transport Pty Ltd, TNT Seafast, Refrigerated Roadways Pty Ltd and TNT Logistics, he said.
On the basis of information supplied by the parties, the ACCC has decided that the proposed acquisition did not exceed the merger guidelines concentration thresholds.
However, the ACCC has reserved the right to make market place inquiries and further review the matter after the proposed merger takes place.
