Description of Conduct

AgStewardship Australia Limited has applied for re-authorisation on behalf of itself, its members, Agsafe Limited and current and future participants in the drumMUSTER and ChemClear programs, to impose a four cent per litre/kilogram levy on the sale of agricultural and veterinary chemicals. The levy is ultimately passed on to end users and is used to subsidise programs that provide for the collection of AgVet chemical containers and disposal of AgVet chemicals.

On 29 January 2014 the ACCC issued a determination re-authorising the arrangements for a period of five years until 19 February 2019. The ACCC also granted interim authorisation until the date the ACCC's determination comes into effect.
