Description of Conduct
The Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association Limited (AEPMA) has lodged an application for authorisation for two proposed Codes of Practice for Termite Management. The Codes are intended to demonstrate best practice in termite management. The provisions of the Codes for which authorisation was sought include those concerning dispute resolution and compliance with the Codes (including provisions for suspension or cancellation of Code accreditation). The Codes are voluntary. AEPMA members, and non-members, can elect to become signatories to the Codes subject to satisfying accreditation criteria.
On 12 October 2017, the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation for five years until 3 November 2022.
