APL application for authorisation of an agreement b/w APL and the WA funeral directors association as well as funeral directors not members of the WAFDA to provide concessional rates for funeral services in possible breach of sec 45A (price fixing).

The Commission granted authroisation on 24 October 2001 for an agreement betweenthe APL the Western Australian Funeral Directors Association and certain non-WAFDA members for the provision of funeral directors services to an APL funeral fund at a fixed concesional rate. Authorisation was granted on condition that the APL provide to the Commission copies of contracts entered into under the agreement if requested. Authorisation was granted for 5 years.
