Description of Conduct
The Applicants seek authorisation to jointly market the natural gas produced out of the Mereenie gas field (which is owned by the applicants in a 50/50 joint venture arrangement).
On 2 March 2018 the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation for a period of 3 years, with any gas supply agreements entered into during this period to expire on or before 31 December 2028. The ACCC also decided to grant interim authorisation at this time to enable the proposed joint marketing to commence immediately.
On 29 March 2018 the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation of the proposed conduct for a period of 3 years, with any gas supply agreements entered into during this period to expire on or before 31 December 2028.
