The applicants (who are dairy farmers in Gippsland, Victoria) wish to form a collective bargaining group to negotiate with milk processors and distributors. Negotiations will determine which milk processor(s) are used and the terms and conditions (including pricing components) of contracts for the supply of milk products by each member of the group. Resulting contracts will constitute a bilateral contracts between the relevant milk purchaser and each group member, in its individual capacity. The group does not propose to engage in collective boycotts.
