Description of Conduct
On 16 December 2009 the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) applied for authorisation to collectively negotiate the terms of engagement for freelance journalists by Fairfax.
On 19 February 2010, the MEAA amended its application for authorisation to extend the collective bargaining arrangements to include ACP Magazines News Limited and Pacific Magazines.

On 26 May 2010 the ACCC issued a determination granting authorisation in respect of the proposed arrangements for five years, until 17 June 2015.
