Description of Conduct

Murray Billing Transport & Ors, a group of lorry fleet owners, sought authorisation to collectively bargain with Boral Resources Ltd to deliver Boral concrete within the Melbourne metropolitan region.

Initially, Murray Billing Transport & Ors also applied for authorisation to collectively boycott (A91571) but subsequently withdrew this application.

The ACCC continued to assess the application for collective bargaining (A91572).

On 13 April 2017 the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation for five and a half years. No submissions were received on the draft determination.

On 19 May 2017 the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation until 31 December 2022.
