Description of Conduct
On 16 June 2021, the Reserve Bank Health Society Limited (RBHS) applied for revocation of authorisation A91264 and substitution for AA1000559.
This application seeks to maintain authorisation and enable Peoplecare Health Limited (Peoplecare) to continue to provide a range of administrative, operational and management services under its Management Services Agreement to the RBHS.
RBHS and Peoplecare sought authorisation because they are competitors in the provision of health insurance, and therefore an agreement of this type between them may breach competition laws.
On 16 August 2021, the ACCC issued a draft determination proposing to grant authorisation and granting interim authorisation.
On 23 September 2021, the ACCC issued a final determination granting authorisation for 10 years, until 15 October 2031.
