Description of Conduct

Application for authorisation of RACS processes in relation to the selection of trainees for all specialities in which it conducts training; accrediting hopsitals and hopsital training posts as being suitable for basic and advanced surgical training; and assessing the qualifications of overseas-trained practitioners. application processes and assessment guidelines in relation to the assessment of overseas trained doctors.

The Commission granted authorisation to the provisions of the arrangement pursuant to which the the College administers processes for:
- selecting basic and advanced surgical trainees;
- training basic and advanced surgical trainees; and
- examining basic and advanced surgical trainees,
for six years.

The Commission granted authorisation to the provisions of the arrangements pursuant to which the College administers processes for:
- assessing overseas-trained surgeons;
- accrediting hospitals for basic surgical training; and
- accrediting hospital posts for for advanced surgical training,
for four years.
