Honda Australia Motorcycle and Power Equipment Pty Ltd (Honda) is a wholesale distributor of Honda-branded motorcycles and marine and other engines in Australia. Some dealers (franchisees) are authorised to sell Honda-branded motorcycles and other dealers are authorised to sell marine engines. To become an authorised dealer of Honda-branded motorcycles or marine engines, a franchisee must acquire a floor plan finance facility from Bank of Queensland.
The ACCC has decided to take no further action in relation to this notification and allowed it to stand. Legal protection provided by the notification will continue unless or until the ACCC revokes the notification or it is withdrawn.
