Exemption for Citigroup Pty Ltd

On 24 June 2021, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to Citigroup Pty Ltd (Citi) deferring the commencement dates of its phase 1 consumer data sharing obligations and its direct-to-consumer obligations for specific products listed in the exemption instrument and issued by Citi on behalf of Suncorp-Metway Limited, PayPal Credit Pty Ltd, and Bank of Queensland Limited until 1 April 2022. The ACCC granted the exemption in response to an application from Citi. This exemption replaces the exemption granted to Citi on 20 May 2021.
