Exemption for Newcastle Permanent Building Society Limited

On 8 April 2021, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to Newcastle Permanent Building Society Limited delaying the commencement date of its consumer data sharing and direct-to-consumer obligations, for all products, until 1 June 2022. The ACCC granted the exemption in response to an application from Newcastle Permanent Building Society Limited.
