Summary
On 1 December 2022, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted an exemption under section 56GD of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) to retailers in the AGL Energy Group (AGL) deferring their CDR obligations in respect of sole traders until 15 May 2023; non-individual consumers and authority to act users until 15 November 2023; and partnerships and secondary users until 15 May 2024. The ACCC granted the exemption in response to an application from AGL.
