On 29 April 2008 the ACCC formed the view that the acquisition was unlikely to substantially lessen competition in the relevant markets. Factors informing this view included:- the availability of supply from WasteTech, KS Environmental, Sulo and other competing suppliers of commercial bins; and
- the availability of supply of plastic bins including wheelibins from domestic and overseas sources such as Sulo, Nylex and Mastec.
Accordingly, the ACCC decided not to oppose the acquisition.
