Gumtree AU Pty Ltd undertaking not to complete proposed transaction

On 14 January 2020, Gumtree AU Pty Ltd (Gumtree) sought merger authorisation for its proposed acquisition of Cox Australia Media Solutions Pty Ltd which operates online platforms CarsGuide.com.au and Autotrader.com.au. 

The application for merger authorisation included an undertaking from Gumtree, pursuant to section 87B of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), that it would not complete the acquisition to which the authorisation relates while the application is being considered by the ACCC. The ACCC accepted the undertaking on 20 January 2020.
