Tabcorp Holdings Limited - s.87B undertaking

On 29 September 2017 Tabcorp Holdings Limited (Tabcorp) applied to the Australian Competition Tribunal (Tribunal) for merger authorisation pursuant to section 95AU of the Competition and Consumer Act (the Act) to acquire all of the shares in Tatts Group Limited (Tatts). The application concerns the same transaction as Tabcorp's previous application of 13 March 2017.

Tabcorp also provided a court enforceable undertaking that it will not make the acquisition that is the subject of the application while the application is being considered by the Tribunal (the undertaking).

On 12 October 2017, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission accepted the undertaking from Tabcorp. The undertaking remains in effect until the Tribunal completes its consideration of the application.
