Woolworths Limited - s.87B undertaking

The ACCC has accepted a section 87B Undertaking from Woolworths Limited (ACN 000 014 675) (Woolworths).

The ACCC has been investigating fuel savings offers made by Woolworths to customers in 2012 and 2013 in the amount of 8 cents per litre and in some cases higher amounts.

Pursuant to the Undertaking, Woolworths will not make or allow fuel discounts where those discounts are:
(a)          not funded wholly by the fuel subsidiary or division of Woolworths;
(b)          greater in value than 4 cents per litre and, contingent on purchases of goods or services at a store or business separate from the retail fuel outlet.
