The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has granted conditional authorisation to the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) and its current and future members in relation to arrangements contained in REIWA’s Membership Framework.
The authorisation is granted in respect of arrangements which have been previously authorised (including REIWA’s Articles of Association and Codes of Conduct). Authorisation is also granted in respect of arrangements not previously authorised (being REIWA’s website terms and conditions and a new proposed voluntary accreditation scheme for real estate and business agents).
The ACCC has granted authorisation for ten years, subject to a number of conditions relating to access to standard forms.
