The ACCC has granted interim authorisation to Cairns Regional Council, Douglas Shire Council and Mareeba Regional Council to jointly procure waste collection services. Waste collection contracts will not become effective unless the ACCC decides to grant final authorisation.
The ACCC may review the interim authorisation at any time. The ACCC’s decision will remain in effect until the ACCC completes its assessment of the application for authorisation.
