The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has re-published its current Merger Guidelines.
"The Guidelines have been fine-tuned in response to changing market conditions, particularly the increased exposure of Australian business to international markets," ACCC Chairman, Professor Allan Fels, said today.
"The Guidelines will be of assistance to companies contemplating mergers or acquisitions as it clearly states the factors taken into consideration by the ACCC when considering such proposals.
