The ACCC has issued a final determination granting authorisation to enable the Reserve Bank Health Society (RBHS) to continue to engage another health insurer, Peoplecare Health Limited (Peoplecare), to provide a range of administrative, operational and management services.
Authorisation is granted for 10 years, until 15 October 2031.
The ACCC considers that the Conduct is likely to result in public benefit by capturing efficiencies through economies of scale. These efficiencies may be passed onto consumers in the form of lower premiums and higher levels of benefit, and may result in an increased range of services being available to RHBS members. The ACCC considers that the conduct is unlikely to result in public detriments.
