On 10 October 2022 the ACCC sent a letter to ARTC on the timing of assessing a replacement undertaking. The current IAU is due to expire on 30 June 2023. The ACCC considers it appropriate for ARTC to consider a short extension of the current IAU, to ensure there is at least 9 months from when ARTC lodges the application for the replacement undertaking and the expiry of the current one. This would ensure that users can be certain that the statutory processes will be finalised before the existing IAU expires.
On 19 December 2022 ARTC provided a letter to stakeholders outlining its intent to submit a new 2023 IAU and a further extension of the 2008 IAU in early 2023.
