Rectification proposal: LOLO/LOLIG issues - BTS, ADSL and LSS22 Dec 2016

On 31 October 2016 Telstra submitted a rectification proposal relating to a breach (in the ACCC’s view) of its Structural Separation Undertaking.

This arose as a result of systems outages to Telstra wholesale systems Linx Online Ordering (LOLO) and Linx Online Interaction Gateway (LOLIG) from 4 September 2016 to 17 October 2016 due to a planned upgrade. This impacted the orders for the Basic Telephone Service, asymmetrical digital subscriber line (ADSL) and Line Sharing Service. Telstra has advised the ACCC that the outages are no longer occurring and its systems have returned to normal operations.

On 23 December 2016 Telstra submitted a revised rectification proposal incorporating suggestions made by the ACCC. The ACCC engaged with Telstra and its wholesale customers to assess the adequacy of the revised rectification proposal.

On 16 March 2017 the ACCC decided to accept the revised rectification proposal.

On 14 September 2018, Telstra sent a letter to the ACCC with a request to discontinue Telstra’s requirement to provide monthly reports to the ACCC under the LOLO/LOLIG Rectification Proposal. Telstra advised in the letter that the final Rectification Step was completed on 22 July 2018 and there will be no further updates to provide in these reports.

On 12 November 2018, the ACCC accepted Telstra’s request to discontinue its LOLO/LOLIG monthly reports.
