Facilities Access Code Review 2019

On 21 November 2019, the ACCC released the draft report of the Facilities Access Code review.

The ACCC has found that the code is broadly working well and that carriers are continuing to refer to it in negotiating commercial terms and conditions of access.

However, to address ongoing concerns around delays in accessing facilities, the ACCC is proposing to amend the pre-build consultation processes and introduce mandatory ‘use it or lose it’ timeframes.
