In light of the support from interested parties, and the consistency of Australia Post’s formal price notification with the analysis set out in the Preliminary View, the ACCC did not object to Australia Post’s proposed prices.

To assist its consideration of the price notifications, the ACCC engaged two consultants to report on:
- Australia Post's cost of capital
- Australia Post's total factor productivity.
