NBN service quality and network performance record keeping rule5 Apr 2024

On 5 April 2024, the ACCC published a record keeping rule and explanatory statement for NBN Co’s service quality and network performance.

This record keeping rule will require NBN Co to collect data relating to National Broadband Network service quality and network performance. NBN Co will also be required to report this data to the ACCC.

The record keeping rule will commence on 1 July 2024 with quarterly reporting required for the September 2024 quarter onwards. The record keeping rule provides for a delayed reporting timeframe for information relating to rebates paid by NBN Co to its retail service providers, with this metric to commence on 1 January 2025.

We expect the record keeping rule to be reviewed and updated as service quality issues evolve over time.
