The Postal Services Legislation Amendment Act 2004 amended the Australian Postal Corporation Act 1989 to allow the ACCC to issue record keeping rules to Australia Post, and stipulates that the ACCC must require Australia Post to keep records about its reserved services.
In preparation for this role the ACCC has released draft record-keeping rules for Australia Post for public comment in March 2004. Submissions were due by 16 April 2004.
