Spectrum competition limits

In July 2017, the ACCC received a request for advice on allocation limits for an auction of unsold spectrum in the 1800 MHz, 2 GHz, 2.3 GHz and 3.4 GHz spectrum bands (the omnibus spectrum). Following the request, the ACCC engaged in targeted consultation with relevant stakeholders.

The ACCC provided its advice to the Minister on 14 August 2017. On 4 September 2017, the Minister made a repeal direction which was consistent with the ACCC’s advice.
