On 16 April 2009, ABB Grain Ltd (ABB) submitted an Access Undertaking (the Undertaking) to the ACCC for assessment under section 44ZZA of the Trade Practices Act 1974.

The ACCC acknowledged receipt of the Undertaking on 17 April 2009.
Issues paper
The ACCC released an Issues Paper on 29 April 2009 regarding the Access Undertakings (the Undertakings) submitted by ABB Grain Ltd (ABB), Co-operative Bulk Handling Ltd (CBH) and GrainCorp Operations Ltd (GrainCorp), and invited submissions on the Undertakings from interested parties.

Information requests
On 13 May 2009 the ACCC sent a request to ABB to provide further information to assist the ACCC in its assessment of the Access Undertaking submitted by ABB. On 22 May 2009 ABB responded to the ACCC's request.
On 2 June 2009 the ACCC sent a further request to ABB to provide further information to assist the ACCC in its assessment of the Undertaking submitted by ABB. On 30 June 2009 ABB responded to the ACCC's further request with a supplementary submission.
On 3 July 2009 the ACCC sent a letter to ABB requesting information regarding a newspaper article published on 2 July 2009. On 6 July 2009 ABB responded to the ACCC's request, provided a further supplementary submission to the ACCC on 15 July 2009.
