The purpose of this consultation paper was to seek stakeholder submissions on an extension of the NBN SIO record keeping rule that was due to expire on 30 September 2020.

The ACCC has decided to extend the operation of the NBN SIO record keeping rule until 30 September 2025. The ACCC will consider any market changes that might require reconsideration of the content of the NBN SIO record keeping rule in the intervening period.
During its consultation on extending the NBN SIO record keeping rule the ACCC also sought views on any other matters relevant to the operation of the rules. The ACCC received a number of submissions and will undertake a further consultation process to consider the other substantive matters raised by stakeholders.
